Founded in 1883, Cardiff is established as one of Britain’s leading universities.
Our research has global impact and is led by world-class staff who share their knowledge through teaching.
Teaching
Teaching and learning at Cardiff develops the intellectual skills and self-reliance that equips our students to deal with complexity and uncertainty and to question and analyse existing orthodoxies. In addition to providing high-level subject-specific skills and knowledge, such teaching ensures these are “transferable” skills which provide value throughout life.
We give a high priority to providing a stimulating environment for the support and promotion of teaching and learning.
Global
Our global community, reputation and partnerships are at the heart of our identity. Our collaborative work with academic partners across the world produces research with real impact.
From collaborating with researchers in China in order to tackle cancer, to studying the genetics and demographics of mammals in our research centre in Borneo, here at Cardiff we’re working to tackle global challenges.
